Wonderfruit takes over The Fields at Siam Country Club in the countryside east of Pattaya for several days, usually in December. Book a private transfer from the airport straight to the festival or to your hotel, with space for tents, bags and everything else you bring.

A festival in open countryside

Wonderfruit is less a rave than a temporary village: stages built from bamboo and recycled material, art pieces you can walk through, talks in the morning, wellness sessions, and music late into the night. It runs for about five days, usually in December when the weather on the east coast is dry and nights are cooler. The site belongs to the Siam Country Club, whose golf courses lie just around it, which is why the land is green, wide and quiet outside festival week. Days are warm and sunny, the ground gets dusty, and after dark a light jacket is useful.

Getting to The Fields

From Suvarnabhumi the route follows Motorway 7 towards Pattaya and then turns inland onto country roads towards Lake Mabprachan and the Siam Country Club. The last few kilometres are narrow, and on opening day traffic builds up near the gate. Enter "Wonderfruit main entrance" in the booking remarks; the driver will use the drop-off area the organisers assign. If you land in Bangkok late at night, a night in Pattaya and a short morning ride to the gate is often easier than reaching the site after midnight. From U-Tapao the trip is roughly 50 km and usually takes 45 to 60 minutes, via the U-Tapao to Pattaya route.

What makes Wonderfruit different

  • Music, art installations, talks and workshops across open fields
  • Camping on site, from DIY tents to furnished options
  • Strong focus on sustainability and local food
  • Families and children are part of the crowd

Travelling with camping gear

Many guests camp, and that means tents, sleeping mats, cool boxes and costumes on top of normal luggage. A van has room for two or three people with full gear; a group of friends travelling together fits better in a minivan or a minibus with up to 19 seats. Enter all bulky items in the form. Soft bags squeeze into the boot more easily than hard cases. Try to arrive in daylight: pitching a tent in the dark on unfamiliar ground is no fun. The guide to special baggage has more on large items.

Hotel instead of tent

If you prefer a bed with air conditioning, Pattaya is close enough for a hotel stay. East Pattaya and the Mabprachan area are nearest; Central Pattaya and Jomtien add 10 to 15 minutes. The festival sells its own shuttle passes between Pattaya hotels and the site, so your airport transfer can simply end at the hotel. The East Pattaya page describes the area closest to the site.

Golf before or after

Because The Fields belong to the Siam Country Club, some visitors add a round on the Old Course or Plantation before the festival starts, while the access roads are still quiet. The golf transfer page lists the courses nearby and how to bring golf bags along.

Leaving after the last day

On the final morning, campers pack up at the same time and the gate area gets crowded. Pack dusty or damp gear in bin bags so suitcases stay clean in the car. For an international flight from Suvarnabhumi, leave The Fields at least four hours before departure. Other events through the year are on the festival and concert overview, including Tomorrowland Thailand.
