More than a dozen courses lie within about an hour of Pattaya, most of them in the hills east of Sukhumvit Road. Book your transfer from the airport to your golf hotel, enter your golf bags in the booking form and see the fixed price for the whole vehicle before you pay.
Pattaya sits in the middle of the Eastern Seaboard, and the land behind the coast is rolling, green and full of reservoirs. That is where most courses are: around Lake Mabprachan and Pong to the east, in the hills of Huai Yai to the south-east and in the Si Racha and Bang Phra district to the north. You can play a different course every day and still be back at the beach for dinner. Distances below are from Central Pattaya and are typical ranges; morning traffic on Sukhumvit Road can add time.

The Fields at Siam Country Club is the club's open event ground, best known as the home of the Wonderfruit festival; see the Wonderfruit transfer page. During the LPGA week, hotels near the club and the access roads are busy, so book early.

Enter the number of golf bags in the booking form, separately from suitcases. A bag in a travel cover takes the space of a large suitcase, so a sedan fills up quickly. For two golfers with bags and luggage a van is the safer choice; a group of four to eight usually needs a minivan, and larger societies a minibus with up to 19 seats. Most courses start the first groups early in the morning to avoid the heat. If you fly in overnight and want to play on the day of arrival, choose an afternoon tee time and give yourself a buffer for immigration and the drive. On departure day, a morning round at a course near Bang Pakong followed by the airport works well. Enter the course or hotel as pickup point and note your tee time in the remarks. There is a separate field for golf bags in the booking form. Enter the number of bags there so a suitable vehicle is assigned.
On the Siam Country Club Old Course east of Pattaya, usually in February. Expect busy roads near the club during tournament week.
Usually 20 to 35 minutes from Central Pattaya, depending on the course and the traffic on Sukhumvit Road.
Thai Country Club and Royal Lakeside lie towards Bangkok and are usually 35 to 60 minutes from BKK, which makes them practical on arrival or departure day.
Only with little other luggage. For two golfers with suitcases, a van is the more reliable choice.
