Queen Sirikit National Convention Center sits on Ratchadaphisek Road next to Benjakitti Park, a few minutes from Asok. Book your ride from Suvarnabhumi or Don Mueang straight to the hall entrance or to your hotel on Sukhumvit.

Getting to Ratchadaphisek Road

QSNCC is the most central of Bangkok's three large exhibition venues. From Suvarnabhumi your driver normally takes the Motorway and the expressway into town and leaves it near Rama IV, so the last stretch is only a few hundred metres along Ratchadaphisek Road. From Don Mueang the route runs south on the tollway and the expressway. Outside rush hour both trips usually take well under an hour; between 7 and 9 am and from 4:30 pm the Asok and Rama IV junctions can add half an hour.

If you already know your hall, add it to the booking remarks. Halls 1 to 4 are on the ground level (G), Halls 5 to 7 one floor down (LG), and the driver can choose the closest drop-off lane.

Trade fairs in the QSNCC calendar

The renovated centre hosts a steady mix of B2B shows. Typical dates, without guarantee for any single year:

  • ASEAN Sustainable Energy Week – renewables and energy efficiency, usually early July in Halls 1–4
  • Vitafoods Asia – supplements and nutraceuticals, usually early September
  • Food & Hospitality Thailand – kitchen, F&B and hotel supplies, usually September
  • Thailand Smart City Expo – urban technology and mobility, usually November
  • gamescom asia x Thailand Game Show – business days for the games industry, then consumer days, usually at the end of October
  • Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair – twice a year, in February and September

QSNCC at a glance

  • Rebuilt venue with about three times the former event space
  • Plenary Hall seating up to 6,000 theatre-style
  • Exhibition halls on the G and LG levels
  • Benjakitti Park and Lake Ratchada right next door

Public shows and weekend crowds

Some events here are aimed at everyone, and they change the traffic around the building. Book Expo Thailand runs for about ten days from late October into early November and fills the LG halls. The Thailand International Travel Fair brings holiday bargains to Halls 1–4, usually in spring. Thailand Mobile Expo returns several times a year, among others in March, and Thailand Coffee Fest has a year-end edition in December. Thailand Dive Expo usually takes place around May.

On these days the taxi ranks and the Ratchadaphisek drop-off lane get busy, especially on weekends after 5 pm. For your pick-up after the show, agree on a meeting point with your driver, such as your hotel lobby, instead of waiting at the curb at closing time.

Shows that switch venues

Bangkok organisers move between halls more often than visitors expect. Money Expo holds a year-end edition at QSNCC, while its main spring edition has recently taken place at IMPACT. COMMART, the large IT and computer fair, has also been staged at BITEC, and MEDICAL FAIR THAILAND, held every second September, has recently used BITEC as well. Check the hall in your visitor or exhibitor pack before you book, because QSNCC, BITEC and IMPACT are up to an hour apart.

Staying near the convention centre

Most visitors sleep on Sukhumvit between Asok and Phrom Phong, one MRT stop or a short ride away, or along Rama IV towards Silom. Our page on transfers from Suvarnabhumi to Sukhumvit covers that hotel area in detail. Exhibitor teams with sample cases, roll-ups and display material often book a minivan or a minibus with up to 19 seats, so everything travels in one vehicle. Teams who need fixed schedules for several days can read more on business transfers from the airport.

After the fair: a few days in Pattaya

Many trade visitors add a short stay at the coast before flying home. From Khlong Toei the Motorway towards Chonburi starts close by, and Pattaya is roughly 145 km away, usually 2 to 2.5 hours. Our guide on the transfer from Khlong Toei to Pattaya explains the route; if you come straight from the plane, the Bangkok airport to Pattaya transfer is the direct option.
