Distance is not the only factor
Choosing an airport is first a flight decision and then a transfer decision. A closer airport is not automatically better when flight times, connections or baggage rules are inconvenient. Compare the complete journey to your Pattaya accommodation.
Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK)
BKK is Bangkok's major international hub and often provides the widest choice for long-haul travel. Your transfer booking should include the flight number, terminal, arrival date and full destination address.
Don Mueang Airport (DMK)
DMK is north of Bangkok and is widely used by regional and low-cost airlines. The onward journey to Pattaya needs to account for travel through or around the Bangkok area.
U-Tapao Rayong-Pattaya Airport (UTP)
UTP is in Thailand's eastern coastal region and can be convenient when the flight schedule fits. Always check the actual flight options because its network differs from BKK and DMK.
Decide with five practical checks
Compare total flight time, connections, arrival time, baggage and the onward journey to the exact address. For late arrivals or family travel, a confirmed pickup may matter more than the lowest airfare.
